Solatro

Most people love Balatro, and EVERYONE loves Solitaire (obviously), so here’s a cheeky way to play a SOLO version of that addictive indie computer card game with just a regular deck of cards, Solitaire style, all by yourself on a Friday night!

Attached are the PDF rules for Solatro, which can also be viewed online here: https://www.notion.so/techdweeb/How-to-play-SOLATRO-2482ac24975b800cb6b5d13e44a59709

There are also 2 print-ready PDFS that can be folded into a zine style instruction booklet! (instructions for folding: https://www.42ndstreet.org.uk/media/etdlxppk/zine-guide-colour.jpg)

Solatro_Full.pdf - 8.5 x 11, can be printed and folded without any trimming needed

Solatro_Mini.pdf - Trim along the dotted lines before making the booklet. This version can fit INSIDE a standard deck of playing cards

*Solatro is not affiliated with Balatro in any way (Baltro is WAY better!).

ENJOY! -TD

suuch a fun game! got it all nice and printed to go with my cards and i have a few buttons to use as tokens for the shoppe. I've played a few games and the furthest i've reached is round 11 >:3c it's so addicting!!

Would it be possible to post a PDF with guidelines like in your other projects? I'm having a hard time fitting it in my card box due to oversize / no cut-lines. Thank you very much!

are bonus items lost on use, or do you keep them for the rest of the run? also, is a "play" the same as a "hand" (does the "extra hand" item give you an extra "play")?

I was also initially confused by the setup section saying "carryover points from past rounds" vs the bonus shoppe saying "points don't last between rounds". might be better to say "Excess points from past rounds" or something?

Presumably, items are consumable but don't have to be used in the very next round after purchase

Carrying over points refers to your excess bonus points balance persists between shops minus the purchases made, but each round requires the full amount be reached each new round, previous points don't count toward your current round score requirements.

But that is my interpretation of the unclear portions of the rules.
